Pumpkin Cinderella 10 - 100 - 500 Seeds Rouge Vif D Estampes Pumpkin Pie
An antique French heirloom flatter pumpkin. The classic Cinderella Coach was based on this pumpkin. It is reported as the most popular pumpkin in Parisian markets in the 1880's and the variety the pilgrims cultivated and served at the second Thanksgiving dinner. Very decorative fruits average 7" tall and 20" inches wide with deep sutures making it a little difficult to carve. Can reach up to 20 lbs. Sweet, thick flesh has better flavor than most carving types. A standard for French soup stocks.
Also known as Rouge Vif D Estampes which means "vivid red from Etampes" a town south of Paris where it was grown for market.
