$1.99

The Peach Bhut Jolokia pepper is a rare color variant of the Red Bhut Jolokia, or ghost pepper, a naturally occurring inter-specific chile pepper recently discovered in Bangladesh and parts of northeastern India.

The pepper was only recently discovered within the past decade and, in 2007, the Guinness Book of World Records declared it as the world's hottest chili pepper with a Scoville rating of over 1,000,000 Units!.  Nearly 2x as hot as the former record holder, the Red Savina Habanero, and about 100x hotter than the jalapeño, the Bhut Jolokia delivers a punishing, lasting, scorching heat that only few can tolerate.
The Peach Bhut Jolokia is on the lower end of the Jolokia heat range at about 400,000 Scoville units. Plant produces HUGE YIELDS of hot peppers. Pods are very hot and turn from green to peach when mature. Very unique and colorful, the tall plants are just covered with fruit. Makes a great gift.
